Hallelujah Tithes!
Hello it is me again: L.J.
Today: Hallelujah Tithes!-Part. 1
Yes, you heard me correctly, I said Hallelujah for Tithes!
We all know Malachi 3:10 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.
For those of you who do not know this scripture and/or the revelation behind it. Let me tell you my story (see the full testimony here):
It was the year 2000+, I had just given my life to Christ and after a few weeks, received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (That is a whole other testimony which I am not sharing now). I was watching TV or so and my mind went to my bills. At this point in my life, I was divorced (around the end of 1999, so all was still fresh), broke with 16.000,00 guilders, and alone with 7-8 month and 4 & 6 years old children. I was on welfare and together with all kinds of government aid, my income was about 1100 guilders.
We were taught about tithing and the warning that comes with it, that if we do not pay it we are robbing God. I silently said to myself, Lord I am sorry, but my bills are more than my income about 1300,00 so I am sorry I want to pay, but I cannot. Immediately God spoke to me and I heard: Can you rob God?
I was really afraid; I do not want to rob God that will bring problems that no one can solve… I mean if you have problems with men, you can go to God who is higher, but there is no one higher than Him, so what to do.
So, I said, well Lord, I am afraid, but You said to test you, so I will take a chance. I mean the money I have now is also not enough to pay all, so then I might just as well give You yours, be in good standing with You. And it means that You HAVE to do your part and help me, because I don’t have enough to pay for all bills, eat, drive my car (which I need to drop the children off at school, etc.). I put all the bills on the table, choose those who were screaming the loudest, and are the most necessary ones. The rest had to wait I would try to call them and arrange instalment payment for ridiculously low payments.
This is what happened:
- My friend called me and asked for help with doing grocery shopping, she also paid for mine and fueled my car.
- I found a cleaning job 2x a week, that paid for my eating and fuel for the car
- They agreed with the ridiculously low payments
- I was not left without money the whole month, I even had enough 2 guilders left to give a homeless person.
- Now in 2020, I am a homeowner, business owner, and my offerings are in the 3-digit range! Hallelujah!
I have seen how God, taught me Himself that if we TRUST HIM and give back to Him what BELONGS to Him, He indeed rebukes the devourer, He supplies all our needs and He opens the windows of heaven.
Know that if you have income (no matter how small), you have been given seed to sow, you should rejoice because God has given you a ticket to get out of poverty, lack, etc and the Tithe is the beginning! If you increase your Tithe payment, you increase the window that is opened unto you, because God is bound by His Word!
Hallelujah what a God we serve! Who gives us indeed all we need, He provides the Tithe, we give it to Him, and He takes care of all the rest!
Hallelujah time to pay Tithe!
God Bless you! – L.J.
